Spring Into Men’s Fashion

It may have been a washout for much of the UK so far this year, but the fashion world is already planning what we’ll be wearing next summer.

The Men’s Spring/Summer 2013 collections burst onto the catwalks in Milan and Paris earlier this month and we spotted one of the key trends predicted in our Fine Fragrance Report for this season.

Florals were everywhere – bright, bold and digitally manipulated , flowers featured as oversized graphic prints or ditsy detail in a number of creative collections.  The bold blooms inspire a fresher, lighter fragrance than the heavier winter scents.  Picking up on the more masculine apple notes, Calvin Klein embraced this trend with the launch of ‘One Summer’ in March this year – a fruity unisex scent of green apple, blue mint, cucumber, lime, bergamot, rosemary, water lotus, aquatic accord, rum, sandalwood, driftwood and sea moss.

Our take on this trend is the creation of ‘Mr Pimms’ – a fresh, masculine scent which opens with a breezy summer accord, blended with green cucumber, moss and a hint of smoked amber.  What could be more evocative of lazy summer days?
